Welcome to Campbell Street Primary School

OUR SCHOOL

Welcome to Campbell Street Primary School. We are a vibrant and diverse school community, welcoming and supporting families from a wide range of backgrounds. We provide quality teaching and learning for all students through engaging experiences aligned to the Australian Curriculum. We guide students as they develop intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically in a caring, stimulating and supportive environment.

Our school is guided by the Department of Education’s Learners First Strategic Plan. We embrace the system goals of Literacy & Numeracy, Access & Participation, Early Learning and Wellbeing. We are strongly invested in promoting our values to all students. We are committed to working with our community and supporting teachers to collaborate in designing targeted and engaging learning opportunities for all students.

We value strong partnerships with families and we encourage parent/carer participation in school events, classroom experiences and class excursions. All parents/carers automatically become members of our School Association and we welcome participation in all meetings and related actiites.

Our school is close to inner Hobart, providing an accessible location for families in our area. Interested families are welcome to contact our school office to make a time for a School Tour with the Principal. Our capacity to accept out-of-area enrolments is dependent on in-area enrolment numbers.

OUR VALUES

Our school values are aligned the with Department of Education values of Aspiration, Growth, Courage and Respect. Additionally, we include the value of Empathy to instil students with traits of concern and care for the wellbeing of others. We have a Whole School focus on each value throughout the year, including acknowledging students who embody our values and providing consistent supports for maintaining our positive school environment.

SCHOOL REVIEW 2023

During 2023 our school underwent a review by an external panel in line with the approach to school improvement implemented by the Deparment for Education, Children And Young People. This External School Review Report outlines aspects of the school’s performance verified through the review
process and provides recommendations for key improvement strategies. The recommendations from the External School Review will be integrated into the School Improvement Plan.
